Dr. Dimeji Onafuwa
IxD/MDP are excited to host Dr. Dimeji Onafuwa for a lecture on Pluriversal Design on February 9, 1pm PT (zoom).
Design has an inclusion problem. Dr. Onafuwa will share a perspective on how a pluriversal posture can help us address these challenges and build better collective futures.
Dr. Dimeji Onafuwa is a designer, educator, and researcher with many years of experience in transition design, service design, and UX research. He has worked as a design studio owner, a creative director, and a UX researcher working to build more equitable user experiences in tech.
He earned his Ph.D. in Transition Design from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a Bachelors's in Design and an MBA. While at CMU, his research study sought to understand commons-based, pluriversal approaches to user experience on platforms.
As a founding member of Common Cause Collective, Dimeji leverages transition design methodologies to tackle complex problems.
Dimeji is an avid painter with gallery representation across the country.
