MDP students joined a field trip of experimental aircraft crash sites in the Mojave Desert, organized by Matthew Coolidge and the Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI). Part of the CLUI exhibit “Down to Earth”, it was hosted by NASA historian and archivist Peter W. Merlin, and stopped at Edwards Air Force Base, as well as the crash sites of the Northrop YB–49 “Flying Wing”, the North American X–15, and Chuck Yeager’s supersonic Lockheed NF–104A.

Wind Tunnel Graduate Center for Critical Practice is an initiative of the graduate programs in Art and Media Design Practices at Art Center College of Design. The Wind Tunnel, situated between the two programs in a former supersonic jet testing facility on Art Center's south campus, is a forum for speakers, conferences, exhibitions, residencies, screenings, and publications.

Parking is free or take the Gold Line and exit at Filmore Station.
