Norm

Nick Meehan

Norm is a text suggestion system that doesn’t learn from you. As a technology Norm is a language model library that offers control over which voice is influenceing the way you write and how they are tuned.

By offering opportunities of authorship through embodiment of specialized but diverse language models and control over the algorithms that deliver them; Norm politicizes the curatorial algorithm as an agent of knowledge production rather than simply a tool for consumption.
